SWEET HOME

Don’t open the door for the neighbour who ate her cat. That’s one way to survive but eventually you’ll have to fight the monsters. This is the reality of Hyun Cha, the protagonist of Sweet home. You might not know it yet but this South-Korean horror webtoon is very popular. What’s more, Netflix announced they’d work together to create a drama adaptation.
South-Korea has a list of amazing horror movies. The Host, Train To Busan, The Silenced... We’re sure that Sweet Home won’t disappoint. It’s even confirmed that the drama has the highest production costs per episode Netflix has ever invested in a Korean story. 2.4 Million US Dollars per episode to be exact. Right above Arthdal Chronicles. The monsters of Sweet home would require a lot of cgi and thus a lot of money. This just means we have a lot to look forward to.
As I have read the webtoon first, I do recommend reading it but why would you read if you can see Song Kang and Lee Do Hyun in action. They’re both rookie actors but have displayed their skills multiple times in their previous roles. The drama is set to be released this year.
The official summary of Sweet Home:
After an unexpected family tragedy, a reclusive high school student is forced to leave his home -- only to face something much scarier: a reality where monsters are trying to wipe out humanity. Now he must fight alongside a handful of reluctant heroes to try and save the world before it’s too late.
